“Traveling is of no use if you are not content and gratified at your home itself. Yes, you’ll enjoy the brief journey (so sad that journeys are getting shorter and shorter), but once you reach your destination, you will find yourself incomplete, sad, and lost again. You will probably have cool photos to post on social, though, to show-off and spite your friends, wanting them to believe that you are making most of your life, for traveling abroad is a status symbol now.
“But let me ask you, dear friend. Is all that worth it? The people you want to spite will die, and so will you. It’s all temporary. So, why do you want to deceive others, and more importantly, yourself?
“What is it, Bondho? Peer pressure? When did you become so weak and small to give in to groupthink?
“You are dejected and melancholic whole day, and force a smile on your face, for just one second, to click that photo that will make your frenemies have those green eyes?
“What’s more important to you, dear? Fix your issues and be happy no matter wherever you are on Earth? Or escape to a foreign land, just to tell others at the top of your voice: ‘No, I don’t have that inexplicable, nauseating void inside my heart!’?”
